For me, sharing my June 2020 online income is new and kind of scary.
I have been blogging since 2010, a journey that began with sharing about how I cared for my relaxed hair and has evolved to include a Youtube channel. Regardless of the topic, my blogging focus has always been sharing my life journey in hopes of inspiring others to pursue their best life.
As a result, I rarely assess what I make nor do I market my content. However, recently I decided to take a closer look and thought it might be useful info for anyone looking to make money online.
This blog has been a space where I share so much of my life journey. However, at this point in my life, I am beginning to save money to buy my first property, and that means that I need to focus on increasing my online income.
Why am I sharing my online revenue?
I have never been one to halfway do something, so now I am committing to regularly posting content on this space.
As for Youtube, I will push myself to actively grow my income past Google Adsense.
One of the most searched topics on the internet is: How to make money online?
I passively make money via Youtube, and I know how to make online content creation more profitable. So this first income report serves as a starting point as well as an accountability post.
I am starting over.
Excited yet? I certainly am. I am sharing this income report to document where I am now.
As we grow together, I want you to know that anyone can do this and I am going to show you how… watch me work!
June 2020 Online Income Report (+ TRAFFIC)
I am only reporting income that has actually been deposited into my bank account. This means all the money that I am showing you today was actually made in May 2020, but most of the programs I am making money from take around 30-90 days to be deposited into your bank account.

What did I do in June to grow?
My Youtube following grew steadily in the month of May. I revamped my Tip Tuesday series, and my subscribers responded well. Tip Tuesday is evergreen content on my channel, so I put a significant amount of effort into the series.
Also, considering the fact that I made no blog posts in June, I am pleased with that viewership.
Currently, I am taking a Pinterest strategies course to learn how to push more traffic my way.
Aside from writing new blog posts and creating Youtube content, I am focused on updating this blog and getting through that course.
My Plans for July
This month is all about updates and learning about Pinterest to effectively put that information to use.
I went through my old blog posts, deleted any that I didn’t like, and came up with new ideas to recycle that content.
Also, I applied to a few Influencer Marketplace platforms to locate opportunities for future Youtube sponsorships. Right now my posts have been focused on intentional living through the Pandemic and serve as a distraction for those who need an escape.
How I plan to grow my online income in July
- I want to make $1,000 in July: which means securing a sponsorship. If I can make that happen, I will be grateful. If I don’t, I will be proud of myself for finally pitching to a brand.
- Batch create 3 posts for July: In order to make money from the blog, I have to get content up and running. However, I am very busy, so intentionally making space in my schedule to write, take photographs, and create graphics is a must.
- Edit SEO on all old posts: I have a lot of great useful posts on this blog, but no one is able to find them. To get more traffic to the blog, my posts have to be search engine optimized (which helps google determine if my content is relevant to those searching for a particular topic). This is a time-consuming task, so I expect to continue this goal through August and maybe even September.
- Create Pinterest worthy graphics for old posts: As I stated above, I really haven’t done much to drive traffic to this blog. I need to create Pinterest images and pin old content to the appropriate boards to drive new traffic and grow my daily page views.
- Optimize my Youtube posting schedule: Youtube now shares with content creators when their subscribers are on the platform. My analytics tell me that I haven’t always been posting within optimal windows, so I will change my posting schedule to boost traffic.
That is a lot to get through in one month, on top of the work in my 9 to 5 job.
Thankfully, working from home rewards me with the time from my daily commute.
Plus, I am back into my early morning routine (more on that later).
In order to successfully post once a week, I need to brainstorm at least 50 blog post ideas. I hope inspiration comes from revamping my Pinterest and learning more about the platform via the Pinterest Strategies course.
For the next year, I am sharing my online income to inspire you to get creative and possibly monetize your influence.
I know that was a lot of information, so if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to comment below or email me at alovefourme@gmail.com.
