The quick natural hair regimen is essential for the lazy natural, the busy person, or the parent with lots of heads to tend.
When you search blogs or Youtube for natural hair regimens to follow, it is not uncommon to be confronted with a 10-step routine.
Lazy Natural Hair Routine
Healthy hair care can be boiled down to: cleanse, condition, coat.
Why? Because healthy hair needs regular moisture and protection. Clean hair accepts moisture best and conditioners provide the hair nutrients the hair needs to remain moisturized over time.
Coating the hair keeps that moisture and those nutrients within or on top of the strand until the next wash.
After you tend to the health of your hair via that three step process, styling can be complicated or quick and easy.
At the least, I could style my hair into a bun to leave for a few days. Or at the most, I could style my hair in a rod set and transform the style once it frizzes out.
Maintaining Moisture
The second most important aspect of retaining length is not letting the hair dry out.
In the quick hair regimen, that could mean washing the hair again in 3-5 days or applying a moisturizer mid-week.
Regardless of your choice, remember that water alone will not provide the hair with lasting moisture. You must add a coating to keep the water from evaporating.
Therefore, a moisturizing cream is an acceptable substitute for washing the hair again.
I could say so much more, but this is a quick routine and so this post is too.
