On Youtube and Instagram, I am often asked where I shop for my favorite statement blouse.
You see, I am always on the hunt for a cute blouse to pair with any bottom and heels. My Spring and Summer uniform consists of mostly statement blouses with neutral bottoms and heels. All year long, my work wardrobe uniform is tailored blouses with statement pants and shoes.
Sometimes I mix prints, but for the most part, I keep my wardrobe simple and easy by grabbing a blouse from one of my favorite brands. I prefer to invest in high-quality items that will last, so I do not a spare expense. However, I have to love what I buy and I style the piece before leaving the store. At these price points, if I have any doubt, then I will leave the item in the store.
In my line of work, I often meet corporate executives and people who take themselves quite seriously, so I gain confidence through quality clothing items. Plus, when I am out on the town, it helps to know that I love what I am wearing and that confidence is always attractive.
Top Brands for THAT Statement Blouse
Rag & Bone
I adore the ease of style that a top from Rag & Bone gives. The loose fit and flattering cut of these tops are very forgiving, and the neutral colors pair well with all the things. Typically, I purchase high-end silk tops from the brand, hence the price point. However, I have owned some of my Rag & Bone tops for 10 years, so I have definitely got the cost per wear from the pieces I own.
Equipment
Looking for impeccable tailoring with a fun print in a feminine style? Look no further than these blouses from Equipment. The prints are never too busy, and yet they make a statement. Plus, the prints are usually available in various styles, i.e a tank top, long sleeve blouse, or short sleeve option. Again, these tops are mostly high-quality silk and will stand the test of time in both style and durability.
Theory
In contrast, most of the tops I wear to work are neutral and the pants I wear have fun prints. Hands down, my absolute favorite brand for work blouses is Theory. The cut, quality, and style are timeless and effortless. Every piece is an investment worth your coins. I do not purchase new work clothes every season, instead, I replace as is necessary, so I do not mind spending more once or twice a year for a piece I wear just about every week.
Joie
Are you a girly girl? Joie is the brand I turn to for romantic blouses that flatter the female form. Joie produces both classic neutrals and prints in feminine cuts and quality fabrics. These flirty tops are perfect for a night out and can be styled to transition from work to play.
Tory Burch
Love florals? I certainly do, but I am quite particular about a floral blouse. I do not enjoy a large flower print, and I often find floral prints to be more suited for furniture. However, I can always count on Tory Burch for a classic yet current flower print. The quality of silk I purchase from Tory Burch is more substantial than most, so the tops I buy last through tons of wear.
The best part about shopping these brands is that you never have to pay full price. If I want the latest styles, then I will shop the brands directly or in a high-end retail store. However, I can purchase tops from any of these brands for a major discount at a Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx Runway location. At those stores, the prices for these brands range from $35 to $100, which is a steal for high-quality silk.
You do not have to break the bank for quality pieces. Instead, I choose to be critical and purchase a few tops that I will wear over and over again. I am no fashionista, so I find that owning a few tops that I will wear frequently is a better use of my coins than purchasing new clothes every season.
