My allergies have made it clear that pollen is in the air, which means Spring weather is near. I don’t know about you, but for me, warm weather brings a different set of beauty essentials into the rotation. My toes are out, my legs are out, and my skin is generally in a happier state.
Spring Beauty Essentials
I enjoy boots, but as a native Floridian, sandals have a special place in my heart. During my last nail salon visit, I met many people preparing to let their toes free. Regular manicures and pedicures are part of my Spring beauty routine, which means I keep cuticle oil on deck. While there are many options out there, simple Vitamin E oil is my top pick.
As part of my nighttime routine, I take a minute to massage Vitamin E oil into my cuticles to maintain a freshly manicured appearance. In order to keep my hands looking their most supple, good hand lotion is a must. I tend to stick with an oldie but a goodie, L’Occitane Shea Butter hand cream. The formula is non-greasy, smells great, and quickly soaks into the hands without leaving a wet residue.
Shea butter is also perfect for keeping the ashy look away, so I will continue to use the Dream Body Cream from Annabelle’s Perfect Blends throughout Spring for all over body care. When I want to add a little shine to my skin, I smooth on Virgin Coconut oil for that extra glow.
I tend to move from shaving to waxing as the warmer months roll around, so regular exfoliation is a must. I use Tree Hut scrubs for my body and a Mandelic face mask once a week to get rid of dead skin. My face skincare routine will remain the same, and hopefully, by the end of Spring, the inflammation will calm.
Scent wise, I tend to move toward more florals and sweet scents over body oils and sprays. My favorites are Maison Martin Margiela Replica Tea Escape and Diptyque Philosykos.
